SPRINGSTEEN: DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE – The Biopic That Will Outshine Elvis, Bob Dylan, And That Monkey Singer Thing That Happened

Before I write about my thoughts of the trailer. Here is the link below for any that have not seen it yet.

It feels weird saying this will be the breakout role that separates Jeremy Allen White. Not to say he isn’t already significantly respected by his peers and the industry because he is based on comments, nominations and awards, but this feels like he is ready to rocket into another atmosphere as an actor. The performance that breaks the surface tension of the water that gets him mentioned with the new crop of younger A-list actors starring in their movies like Timothee, Pugh, Daniel Kaluuya, Pattinson, Anya Taylor-Joy and many more. He obviously has had amazing roles in The Bear, The Iron Claw, and The Rental, but this is Oscar Best Actor caliber stuff he is capable of in this Springsteen biopic. We saw it in the Iron Claw as well, he has range and acting chops that can carry a story without question.

They did an excellent job making him resemble Bruce as well. It’s hard to get it perfect of course and not sacrifice quality on the acting just to get the look right, but they did right with the casting here. Springsteen is an extremely recognizable name to all ages except maybe Gen Z, but Gen Z likely have seen him in The Bear which is his best work in my opinion and will want to support his role in this. The trailer showcases and teases one of his best performances in singing “Born To Run” and holy shit Jeremy using his real voice and practicing with a coach to sound similar to Bruce is going to be an absolute hit. I felt the emotion and passion behind his rendition of the song in the trailer and of course it’s probably edited some but all that in a package of delivering amazing musical portrayals for Bruce in the film will pay fucking dividends for the studio.

The book this film is based on “Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making Of Nebraska” was also a hit, documenting his journey to making his 1982 album “Nebraska”. I love that they are focusing on portraying the book and a point in time with flashbacks of life events and memories rather than trying to cover his entire life in the film. Feels more focused and will produce a higher quality of a film in my opinion. We will see the times of struggle, unique experiences, and a journey of a working man to stardom portrayed by one of the best young actors there is in the game and I cannot begin to explain how excited I am to see this film. It should surpass everything that Elvis (2022) and A Complete Unknown (2024) were.
